Tour Itinerary (5 Days/ 4 Nights)
Day 1: Arrival at Paro Airport – Thimphu
On the way visit Tamchog Lhakhang sacred monastery founded by Thangthong Gyalpo, and National Memorial Chorten, a monument dedicated to world peace and prosperity. Conclude the day with visit to Tashichodzong and overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 2: Thimphu – Punakha
After breakfast embark on spiritual journey to Kuensel Phodrang, pay respect to the world’s largest sitting Buddha statue and then continue toward Punakha with a stopover at the Dochula Pass for refreshing tea and breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain ranges. On the way visit Chimi Lhakhang and then visit Punakha Dzong. Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 3: Punakha – Paro
Early breakfast and travel to Paro via Thimphu where you will visit the fascinating Takin Preservation center, home to Bhutan’s National animal and visit Zilukha Nunnery offering insight into the lives of Buddhist nuns. Conclude the day with visit to the iconic Paro Dzong, an imposing fortress known for its architectural brilliance. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 4: Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest
Embark on an early morning hike to Taktsang Monastery popularly known as Tiger’s Nest. Later visit the historic Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan adorned with ancient relics and statues.
Day 5: Paro Departure
We bid farewell and transfer you to Paro airport with cherish memories and profound appreciation for your visit to Bhutan.
