Daily Itinerary for Bumthang Owl Trek (11 Days / 10 Nights)
Day 1: Arrive in Paro
Arrive at paro international airport. Visit paro Dzong,National Museum .
Stroll paro town. Over night at paro.
Day 2: Paro (Tiger's Nest Hike)
Hike to Takshang Monastry (Tiger's Nest)-Bhutan's iconic site. Optional visit to Kyichu lhakhang. Overnight stay in paro
Day 3: Paro to Thimphu (1 hr Drive)
Visit to Buddha Dordenma, Memorial Chorten, Tashichoe Dzong, and Craft Market. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 4: Thimphu to Trongsa (8 hrs Drive via Dochula and Pelela pass)
Scenic Drive across Dochula pass ( 3100m ) with himalayan views. Stop at Punakha Dzong enroute. Continue to Trongsa. Over Night stay in Trongsa.
Day 5: -Trongsa to Bumthang(2.5 hrs Drive-)
Visit Trongsa Dzong and Ta-Dzong Museum. Drive to Bumthang (via Yotongla pass).
Day 6: Bumthang sight-seeing
Visit Jakar Dzong, Kurjey Lhakhang, Jambay Lhakhang and Tamshing Monastry. Evening in ChamKhar town. Overnight in Bumthang.
Day 7: -Trek start: Manchung-Drangela pass - Schonath(3450m, 5 hrs Trek)
Begin Bumthang owl Trek. You trek through forest,Monasteries and Yak Harder camp. Camp at Schonath camp site.
Day 8: Schonath-Kitiphu Ridge (3870m 5-6 hrs trek)
Hike to kitiphu Ridge, Panoramic views of Gangkar puensum (Bhutan's highest Peak). Overnight Camping at Kitiphu.
Day 9: Kitiphu to Tharpaling Monastry-Jakar (end of trek, 5 hrs trek + Drive)
Descend via Monastry to Tharpaling. Trek Ends. Drive back to Jakar Bumthang.
Day 10: Bumthang to paro (Flight or Long Drive)
Option 1
Take a domestic Flight Bumthang to Paro.
Option 2
Drive Back (It Takes 10+ hrs, Usually broken into 2 days) Overnight stay in Paro

Day 11: Departure Form Paro
Transfer to airport for departure
